ABOUT
Charlene K. Williams is a storyteller with a fearless imagination and a voice shaped by real life, resilience, and the vibrant culture of Newark, New Jersey. A mother, creator, and multi-genre author, she writes with heart, honesty, and cinematic detail—inviting readers into worlds that feel alive.
Charlene studied acting, drama, and creative writing at Newark’s legendary Arts High School, the same institution that helped nurture talents like Tisha Campbell, Savion Glover, and Michael B. Jordan. She originally dreamed of becoming a film and drama writer, and that passion for characters, emotion, and visual storytelling still drives her work today.
For more than fifteen years, Charlene has written and published her own books—children’s stories, family sagas, murder mysteries, urban fiction, and emotional real-life narratives. She kept every early book, “bloopers” and all, so readers could witness her evolution from passionate beginner to established author. Her journey is proof that growth is beautiful and artistry comes from daring to try.
Outside the literary world, Charlene is the founder of Main Character Lipstick, a beauty line she has operated for over two decades. Her love of glamour, color, and self-expression blends seamlessly with her storytelling—bold characters, bold worlds, bold lips.

Her latest project, Convergence: The Girl They Couldn’t Hide, marks her first venture into science fiction. Inspired by a vivid dream that left her shaken, excited, and creatively charged, she discovered a new love for cosmic mystery, supernatural power, and the thrill of the unknown.
Charlene writes for dreamers, believers, lovers of plot twists, and anyone who craves a story that makes them feel something. She continues to build her legacy one book, one idea, and one daring new world at a time.
